Saturday, July 17, we had a wonderful time with the good folks at the Central Baptist Church in Evadale, TX. It started with a candlelight Catfish dinner. (A storm caused the lights to go out.) Then we went into their beautiful auditorium for a wonderful worship service. We made some more new, good friends. Hope you will be there for the next one.
Last night we had an awesome time at the First Baptist Church of Silsbee, on stage with Phil Cross and Crossing.
If you have the chance to hear our old friend and his new group, don't miss it. They are great! First, you have the award winning writing of Phil Cross, and then you put him in the prettiest group he's ever had. It's a winning combination. Phil tells the stories behind the songs while joined by his wife, Rebecca, and the very talented Sheri Thrower. What a blessing! Check them out at www.philcrossmusic.com.
Look for us in the August issue of the Singing News Magazine. Editor, Danny Jones, said some really nice things about us. We're still looking for our picture on the cover!

Last week we returned home from a great time at the Lifeway Conference Center in Glorieta, New Mexico. We left on Saturday, May 22, with a Suntravel Bus load of Senior Saints, and travelled to the North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX. We enjoyed a great concert with Bro. Gary Wood and the Crimson River Quartet. On Sunday night, May 23, we led worship in the Sandia Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico. What an outstanding time we had there!
Then the Senior Adult Southern Gospel Springfest at Glorieta, with Bro. Tim Williams, Dr. John Bisagno, The Talley Trio, The Mark Trammell Quartet, Squire Parsons, Buddy Griffin, and Geraldine and Ricky. Oh, and The Master's Men! We had a great time! Check out our pictures on Facebook. Be sure to find the video of Rick Goldin on Geraldine's knee. She found a new dummy! Also, we want to thank Deborah Talley for turning us on to the "Flying Tortillo" Resturant in Santa Fe. It was great for a 51 person drop-in lunch!
On the way home, we enjoyed two wonderful concerts. First Baptist Church of Odessa, TX hosted us on May 27, and Calvary Baptist Church of Bastrop, TX hosted us on May 28. We made it back to Silsbee at noon on May 29. What a great time!

Last night at First Baptist Church in Silsbee, we hosted the Booth Brothers for love offering "pick up" concert, and had an awesome experience! The church was filled beyond capacity with standing room only, and some left without hearing the first note simply because there was no room. We are sorry that we had not planned for overflow, but quite honestly, we had never had that experience before. The estimated crowd was about 700 in a room built for 600. In the future we will have reserved seating or move the concert to the larger high school auditorium. If you have the opportunity to see the Booth Brothers, Ronnie, Michael and Jim are marvelous ministers, as well as great singers.

Our eldest and dearly loved member, David Diden, went to be with his Heavenly Father. As an original member of the Master's Four, Bro. David sang baritone with the Master's Men until he retired in August 2007. For many years he drove the bus for the Master's Men, as well as many events for the First Baptist Church of Silsbee. His distinguished white hair and handsome good looks can be seen on the first five of our CD's. At the age of 81, he is survived by his beautiful wife, two sons, his mother, three sisters, seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. For nearly two years, David Diden fought his fight with cancer. Today he has been promoted to Heaven's Choir!

The 8th Annual Master’s Men Gospel Reunion is now in the history books. Well, maybe not in the actual “History Books”, but it WAS a great evening of southern gospel music. Legacy Five, Karen Peck and New River, and the Calvary Boys were all a huge hit with our audience as they presented the Gospel in song. It was also an honor to have Danny Jones as our guest. Danny is the “editor at large” of the Singing News Magazine. (click Danny Jones or Singing News Magazine to see what Danny's Diary has to say about the Master's Men.)
The Master’s Men would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s concert a huge success. We could not do it without you!
